Gloria serves the dual role of managing CWI’s finances and using her clinical expertise to support the development of trainings which include content related to mental health. She has over 20 years of clinical experience working with adolescents and their parents/guardians. Gloria remains current in the field as she conducts multi-lingual psychosocial evaluations and psychotherapy at the Cambridge Health Alliance’s school-based health centers in Everett and Somerville. At both high schools, she primarily serves students who are immigrants and English language learners. She co-facilitates psycho-education groups focused on cultural adjustment and emotional regulation.
She is a licensed clinical social worker with a master’s degree in social work from Boston College, and a bachelor’s in psychology from University of Massachusetts Boston. Gloria is a native Spanish-speaker and also speaks Portuguese.
She loves pets, botanical drawing, gardening, creative cooking , and dancing to Latin music.
