In 2024, CWI worked in 6 states and four countries – Egypt, Azores, United States, and Guatemala. We look forward to seeing where 2025 leads us!
The Community Workforce Institute takes pride in its far-reaching impact, spanning both national and international borders. From the bustling streets of Egypt to the beauty of the Azores, and from the Mississippi Delta to Massachusetts, we are dedicated to forging connections and empowering frontline workers with the skills and tools they need to deliver exceptional care.
It is a privilege to hear the stories of the CHWs and supervisors who join our trainings. These remarkable individuals come from diverse corners of the world, each carrying a unique narrative that led them to our workshops and classes.
Some bring professional licenses or certifications from their home countries but face barriers like the high cost of obtaining licensure in the United States. Others are discovering their potential to bridge the gap between their communities and the healthcare system. Regardless of their journey, the time we share is transformative, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to thrive as Community Health Workers..
